Africa has been declared free of wild polio after it was finally eliminated in Nigeria. This historic milestone is a big step towards global eradication as it signifies that more than 90% of the world is now free of the wild polio virus.

Love is Love

In a historic first, the Odisha HC allowed a same-sex couple to continue a live-in relationship & even extended state protection to them. The judges further urged society to be supportive and stated that “The oft quoted maxim — love knows no bounds has expanded its bounds to include same sex relationships”.

Known as Batman Solidario, an anonymous superhero prowls through the streets of Santiago, Chile to distribute more than 100 home-cooked hot meals a day to the homeless. Why? Because he’s the hero the world deserves AND the one it needs right now.

People around the world are flocking towards pet adoption to help reduce social isolation with some rescue organizations reporting a 1000% increase in foster applications compared to 2019. In India, virtual adoption is booming as individuals look to adopt “long-distance” pets. Dog Bless Everyone!

When massive wildfires raged through California, many feared the end of a grove of old-growth redwoods — some of them over 2000 years old & labeled among the tallest living things on Earth. 3-year old angel from Stillwater (NY), Mia Villa, bakes & personally delivers chocolate chip cookies along with hand-drawn pictures to thank the warriors of Covid-19. Having baked over 1000 cookies so far, Mia’s Cookie Jar has spread some much-needed joy among the frontline workers of New York.
